Hi Guys

I am putting together an Internet Treasue Hunt for my kiddies, but, have run out of ideas of sites that I can send them to.

So far, I have covered, football, sweets, animals, interesting places to visit in London (I am a Brit) and an Australian school.

Anyone got any other suggestions? Also, if anyone wants my lesson plan when it's done, please PM me and I will send it to you Smile

Thanks

Ilovebdt

I want to send them to different websites to find pieces of information.

For example: One of my questions is: How many ants can a Giant Anteater stick on its tongue in a day? To find this answer I have directed them to the London Zoo website.

Of course, questions for the most well-know, commonly used internet scavenger hunt: http://mathforum.org/ces95/scavenger.html

Use the above to get them started. This one is used by teachers throughout the auspices of computer-based around the world.

I don't see any English language teaching available in the these except for the students discussing their answers at the conclusion.

Endangered Korean wildlife. The plant or animals used as symbols by nations around the world. The host cities of the Olympic Games. Guiness Book of Records stuff (the tallest living man, etc.). The national anthem of various Commonwealth countries. Trivia about flags (the shape at the centre of the Nicaraguan flag (extra points if they answer 'pyramid' instead of 'triangle').

Hadn't thought of that. I thought my main problem would be getting them to concentrate on the task and not look at "other" sites.
