|

Ok, I've tried the search function, and checked on the NPS website, but I can't find a specific answer to my question.
I thought I read on here that you aren't allowed to claim your pension more than once? Or something like that? My contract is finished now, and I'm just waiting for my flight home. I know what I need to bring to the pension office, but is it true you can only claim once? What if, in a few months time, I come back to Korea for another job. Do I not get to claim that pension as well?
Perhaps this sounds stupid, but there doesn't seem to be a straight answer out there.
Thanks in advance. |

Nobody has any idea? Is there nobody here who has worked more than one contract and claimed pension more than once? |

I have had four different work contracts.......nobody withheld money for Korean Pensions...
I don't know what you mean....."claimed pension". Please elaborate. I have some buddies who might know the answer. |

Not true. You can claim everytime you finish a contract and leave Korea if you are eligible. |

No. If you claim your pension and go home, but a year later (or whenever) decide to give Korea another shot, you can claim the later pension money when you leave again. Doing it more than twice, however, I would imagine the pension people would give you a hard time. |

By "claiming pension", I mean going to the pension office, giving them all my banking information, and getting that money.
I want to claim for this year. I will be going home for two months, then hope to be back here in March to start working at a public school. I just wanted some confirmation that if I had claimed already for this year, then did a second year and claimed that as well, I wouldn't have any problems.
Thanks for the answers so far.

Yes, that's what I meant.
But you're only supposed to claim it if you are leaving Korea permanently. Doing this every year will piss them off. |
