Okay, I'll be the first. I've just recently registered for a Cyworld page. It has pictures and writings about my new year here in Daegu plus will be including commentary on a few news stories of interest in my diary. It's not as political as others, just a slice of my life here in Korea. Check my signature below.

A few of the photos that I've uploaded may be familiar as I got them from Dave's members and threads and will give credit where due in the near future.

Question, will I be able to take Cyworld with me if I were hand in my ARC card and leave Korea?

I think that cyworld is the biggest waste of time. All the Koreans have pictures with fake smiles and "oh look we are so happy". I've seen a few of them from co-teachers and students and it's just about what they did. Today I ate in Starbucks, here's a picture to prove it. Rolling Eyes How boring is that?

I hope that you don't do that.

It's not boring to eat/drink at Starbucks, but it is definitely lame if that is the sort of thing your write about.

I really hate cyworld. It's just one big template that everyone has and they are all 99% teh same not counting the wall paper. It's ugly and allows for zero originality. That's not to say that bloggers are much better. 90% of blogs on blogspot all choose from the same 5 templates and never customize them.

If you are going to blog learn some basic HTML/CSS and customize the look of your blog. #1 don't use cyworld.

Righto! Easy enough. Here's a link to mine:

I normally don't like blogs, but a number of friends from home asked me to start one, so there you go. I'm trying to keep it relatively positive - no ranting allowed! Anyway, enjoy if you find yourself in the neighborhood.

Anyone know what is happening with "The Korean Blog List" I signed up to have my blog listed with them months ago and still it hasn't been added to the list. Perhaps the list owner has gone away?...........

Just a suggestion: You might add some information on why your blog is more worthy than all other blogs.

There was another blog thread at http://www.eslcafe.com/forums/korea/viewtopic.php?t=25601 if anyone's interested and didn't see it at the time...

...and I am Not Too Cool for Livejournal, but mine is narcissistic, boring, and mainly written for the benefit of family and friends who don't get to hear from me enough otherwise.

If you check back to my Cyworld, you'll find the pics are now unlocked for public viewing. Feel free to post comments.

That thread has been dead since Sept. last year but there are some nice blogs included there.

As is mine. I write far more interestingly on here*, and I don't want anyone realising I'm actually the most boring man in the world.

* no, really.

Oh, ok - www.livejournal.com/users/pringle.
