Hi, I have a question for Austalians who work for EPIK-like programs. If, as an Australian, I want to get tax exemption for my first 2 years of work, as stated by my contract, what do I need to do?

I was told by my coteacher that I need to have some "residence permit (???)" for Australia. I have no idea what that is. He said if I dont have that, I dont get tax exemption.

Does anyone know about this?
