Hi
Just as the heading says we would like to find a school where we can both work but at different times so someone can always be at home with the baby. We're looking into separate schools but would prefer working together at the same school. Anyone know of any schools that operate all day and evening?

It sounds to me like one of you needs to work at an adult hakwon (early morning shift, then late afternoon-evening shift) and the other at a kiddie hakwon or public school.

Yeah, that's good advice.... If you can get a public school after school (12-5 or 1-4 or some similar hours) and an adult hagwon with morning evening split shift it would work.

It's hard to find a school that doesn't have overlapping shifts for at least one or two hours in the afternoon....

Thanks guys. Thought so.
About the after school positions how would I look into that? Go to a public school agency or just as advertised on Dave's or similar?

Hi Korea 252,

if you've got the experience/qualifications, how about looking into a uni/college gig? It's a little late now, but come late Jan. & Feb. you might be able to score at a uni/college that had cancellations on offered positions. I am aware of at least one uni where a couple, with a new born, were given schedules which allowed one parent to be at home with the child at any one time.

Also, getting an ajuma to look after the wee one has always been cheap and easy for my wife and I.

Best of luck,

Thiuda
