So I am leaving on Sunday from Incheon, unfortunatly I can't buy Cdn cash in my hick town and I won't have time to get to an exchange bank before I leave.

I have 700,000 won that I need to change.

Anyone know if the airport exchange places would be a good idea or will I get rooked on the exchange.

My other option is to get US $ here in my hick town.

You'd loose whatever the commission is every time you exchange the money, so stick with Won to Canadian $. Change the money at Incheon airport, it's as good as anywhere else, plus you'll be able to compare the rates at different counters. I usually find a counter that gives 10 won or more per dollar if I have time to 'shop around'. Just make sure you don't wait until you get in Canada, you'll get a terrible rate there.

I got to the airport very early for my flight to the US a few weeks ago and checked out all the exchange counters for the best rate. It was comparable with what I had seen online. I'd do the same thing if I were you.
