By my count, the foreigner in the next apartment has smashed five, but maybe six bottles against the wall in his adjoining apartment. I think there was a 'double-smash' in there, making it six.
Going back to earlier this evening. I was online with my wife, yahoo messenger voice and video. My wife asked me to turn down my music. I told her it wasn't mine, it was the neigbours. Eventually I went over and knocked on his door. And knocked....and knocked...and knocked. Music was too loud to hear the door. Eventually I gave it a good pounding. He never answered, but he did turn it down. Shortly after I heard some unintelligible shouted epithets....f-ing something, etc.
Since then he has come and gone a few times, stomping his way down the hall as loudly as he could, stopping once to assault my door.
He has taken to turning up his music to full volume for ten seconds or so every few minutes.
WTF? I've been in bed trying to sleep for more than two hours. I'm sick, got a lung full of gooey green stuff and I feel like crap.
I'm very tolerant of the foibles, and even stupidities of others, but this is ridiculous? I have no interest in calling the police. I know he's here illegally teaching at a hakwon, and he's had run-ins with the police already, the most recent being a warning for indecent exposure.(I have no idea what that's about except that the police called his hakwon and told them to control their foreigner, and that it was something to do with indecent expsosure. I'm guessing he took a leak in the wrong place.) He's a chronic drunk, and quite proud of his ability to consume nothing but alcohol for extended periods.....<one more bottle just hit the wall> of time.
Yup, this is a rant. I dragged my sorry self out of bed cause I can't sleep, so I thought I would whine about it here.

What would you do?

First of all, I would file this in the freakiest waygook thread.

Second, I would talk to the guy whenever I had a chance.

I would also have someone complain in Korean to the manager of the place.

Lastly, if none of that worked, I would hit the guy with a baseball bat.

Reminds me of college. Not good at all. What to do? A fellow teacher is being rude without consideration of the neighbors.

Have a Korean friend cancel his electricity. A nice cold shower for a few days should solve the problem. Evil or Very Mad

Man, that sh*t is beyond the pale. Way beyond. I wouldn't feel bad at all about calling the cops, calling immigration, or just beating the hell out of him. Just be careful. Sounds like a psychopath.

I did a camp with someone like this guy. Call immigration as soon as you feel up to it. Just remember, this dude is working around *children*.

Dude, seriously. Call the police. Get this dude out of the country. And then, once he's gone, go to the Freakiest Waegook thread and make a full report.

To begin with, find out when he sleeps and reciprocate.

If he won't answer the door, slip a polite note under the door explaining about your illness. Don't let this escalate into a war-- you don't know what he's capable of.

Hmmm, remembering my fraternity days, I would recommend the following,

1. resign yourself to not sleeping
2. go and buy the cheapest bottle of vodka/rum/ or Tequila
3. Obtain three packs of menthols (that will be almost as good as a cough drops)
3. Find one goofy looking hat and wear it.
4. Call all you 'peeps' and give them guilt trips (your condition of illness should allow this) and invite them over to your apartment, and tell them to bring some booze. (don't let the bastards bogart your stuff)
5. Start drinking
6. When at least three of your friends arrive label the event a 'par-tay'
7. Start playing drinking games (try to be more eloborate than "drink the beer"-'family guy' fans will understand)
8. When at least 10 people are at your apartment AND at least one party foul has been commited, declare that everyone needs to get f'ing CRUNK. It is important that you yell this.
9. If the neighbor still has not left his apartment to investigate what is happening, tell the party that your neighbor is a douche, or something of that nature and that all of you need get back at him by pissing on his door.
10. continue ruckus partying. At this point you will be 'Crunk' and feeling better, so see where the party goes from there. Perhaps going to a Nolebdang, playground, whatever stupid idea arises just avoid streaking. There is nothing more shameful then streaking in a stupid hat.

Or if you want to be totally lame, you could get some earplugs and some sleeping pills.

Good luck. And goodnight.

If you don't want the reward for reporting a foreigner that is teaching illegally, PM me. I will gladly report him and collect the reward. Then your problem will be solved.

Please report him to the poilce as soon as possible. He is the type of person giving us all a bad name here in Korea.
