Is Satellite Radio available in Korea? Sirius is available in Canada and it picks up anywhere in North America (Canada + USA). If it's available in Norht America, I find it hard to believe that it's not available in Japan and can't be picked up in Korea.

Anyone know about this?

I'm not a techie, but most satellites are restricted to their own hemisphere, since they only broadcast to receivers in their line of sight. The signals can't wrap themselves around to our side. To get global coverage, the service must be provided on multiple satellites.

I think the poster is asking if there is a company that broadcasts to Korea and not if the signals will wrap around the globe.

I would guess music by cell phone makes the market for satelite radio unnecessary.

Wikipedia lists Worldspace and S-DMB.
