I'm starting to irritate myself with minor things but they need clearing p in my mind.

So do I need colour copies or will black and white ones do when I get them notarized at the consulate.

I think it depends on the consulate, but at the one in L.A. you just make black and white copies on the copier at the consulate and then take them over to a window to get stamped a zillion times, and that's it.
