Just got the magic straight done, with a reconditioning for 40,000won. The girl couldn't speak English very well but I know she said not to wash it for a time period. Last time I got it done, the girl said not to wash it the next day, but the day after was ok. This girl said wait two days, then wash on the third day I think.

Is there a set time you're not supposed to wash your hair for? Like 48 hours? Or is it more? Hearing different information all the time is frustrating. I got it done on Sunday, and it's Tuesday now, and I really really really want to wash my hair. It feels dirty. Just curious if I HAVE to wait until the Wednesday, or if washing tonight is ok?

Sorry for the long rant. Any info would be great. I'm waiting with a shampoo bottle in my hands. Smile

The times I have had a "magic straight" I have gotten the "latest" type, which means that I was able to wash my hair the very next day. This one was more expensive - 50,000-70,000won in my town. The hairdresser called it a "magic roll." Rolling Eyes

The older type of "straights" are cheaper (around 35-40,000) and they are the ones you have to wait to wash your hair for (just like a curly perm).

Sorry can't help you out -- you are probably best to call the salon and ask again.. and how about trying that "free interpreter" service???! - seriously!

I waited 2 days to wash mine, and mine cost 90,000 won. Thanks for telling where you went. Since I live in this area, I'll go there next time I get one. Very Happy
