Is it better to post my resume on Dave's and let recruiters/schools come to me, or search myself by sending out my resume a few times?

If I do post on Dave's, do I include a pic?

Should I list my phone # as a contact or just email(for both Dave's and if I send my res out)? And what is the proper way to list phone numbers?
001 +1 +US area code or just area code?

Should I keep my resume under one page? I don't have teaching experience other than tutoring and coaching.

Does any of this matter? Can I just say, "I'm white with a degree and born in America?"

Thanks to any and all answers.

a) Do both. Post your resume and also send out applications. Be as proactive as you can.

b) I don't think you need to post a picture. Send a picture with any applications you mail and be ready to respond with a picture and documents when/if you get responses to your posted resume.

c) On your posted resume, just put your e-mail address. No need to open yourself up for crank calls. On your mailed applications, yes, include country code, area code and phone number. Also mention when it's good to call you (but don't expect anyone to go by it).

d) Keep your resume to the point. Focus on anything related to teaching--like tutoring and coaching. (Include other significant jobs.)

Note: Many people who will be reading your cover letter/resume will not be native speakers. Keep jargon and complicated grammar to a minimum. If you are applying for jobs with kids, offer several pictures: a professional looking one with a friendly smile (not a grin) and then a couple with you interacting with kids.

I've heard, or read, that many paths lead to the same place. Does anyone know if directors avoid applicants that saturate the market with their resume?

Also, for the country code, is 001+1+Area code-phone number the correct way to list my phone # to koreans?

a) I've never heard of anyone complaining about someone getting out the information that they are looking for a job.

b) Yes, that is the correct way to write your phone number.

What about employers avoiding resumes that appear everywhere? Anyone been with their employers as they look for applicants?

Also (a little off topic, but my post Cool, if I accept an evening shift 2pm-9pm, will I be cut off from the social scene? I don't want to be working if everyone else is having fun.

2-9pm is pretty standard teaching time for hogwans. You don't need to mention you are white, your photo will do it for you. One page is best.

This is the normal hagwon gig. Anyway, you wont be missing the social scene...all the fun happens at night. And with the nights that you are likely to have, its lucky that you dont have to work until 2pm the next day Wink

Not me though. I am above all this silliness. Very Happy
