It seems that there are a couple of jobs going for them in Seoul. Does anyone have any experience of working for them?

I don't know if I can get the appropriate aspects of my life together before the deadline but would appreciate any wisdom about them as an employer for future reference.

Cheers,
Pendennis

I haven't worked for BC directly, but know a number of people who have worked for them in different countries. The general comment they have all made is that the BC works teachers very hard, but they have received a lot of support and there is scope for professional development.

However, you might want to read the specifics of the job ad more closely. As I'm to understand, the salary is only about 1.5 mill per month (!!) and there is no visa - you are told to come in on a tourist visa and leave every 3 months (more alarms!). So, is the BC running a 100% illegal outfit in Korea???

Where did you get the information on salary and visa sponsorship(or not)?

Oh,I see.Found it.

No doubt there are opps. for PD but,why bother lining their pocket and not getting anywhere near a fair return??

I'd rather babysit in a hagwon and get 2.3 thanks. Why work 10 times harder to get much less?

Local law prevents the Council from obtaining visas for unmarried partners. They have to enter on a three month tourist visa, and leave every three months.

I believe if you read this more carefully the text refers to unmarried partners having to leave every three months, not the teacher.
