In conjunction with an owner/good friend of a small language school, I intend to develop a few morning English classes specifically for hawgron teachers. Pagodo and several other schools already cater to adults, but with up to 13 students in each class, the classes do not provide sufficient time for students to speak.
Since the potential students will have an excellent knowledge of grammar, I want the class to focus on speaking, pronunciation, fun topics, jazz English, idioms, etc. The classes will be fun and productive, and I might offer biweekly trips to the movies, skating ring, bowling alley, etc.
Currently, I teach several teachers on the weekend and I will not have any difficulty finding more. My school in particular is pressuring their Korean teachers to become better English speakers. However, the teachers who have attended adult classes complain that there are too many students in the classes.
The classes will start sometime this summer and I have to decide on tuition. If adults currently pay 100,000 to attend Pagodo and I pay 100,000 for Korean lessons, would my potential students pay 150,000 to attend a class with 6 students or fewer, five days a week? Or, should classes be offered three times a week at half that price.
