Have you heard the latest spouting off by "The Donald?"

Now he's convinced himself--quite an easy task for someone with his colossal ego--that Rice does nothing in her diplomatic travels except window dressing:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/gossip/story/488574p-411470c.html

Gee, Donnie, how would you know what's said behind those closed doors just because you know what goes on behind closed doors at your beauty pageants?

And would you have said the same of Madeline Albright?

Is anyone else out there irritated by all these media ho celebrities who think that their status entitles them to comment on things they know little or nothing about?

(And for any Trump admirers, please don't say he has the right to free speech. I know that; it's his utter lack of discretion and New Yorker big mouth that bothers me.)

I don't see much difference in attitude between Trump and you, except that he's a success and you're not.

Dogbert, the poster is a Ph.D or is nearly one. Comparitively few people in the world can brag about being smart enough and sufficiently academically competent to even apply for admission to a doctoral program. What do you do and do you equate being rich with success? I raise this question because most of the most successful people in history had little or no money: The myriad impoverished single moms who raise their kids in a successful manner to be kind, decent people; the successful priests and nuns who've taken a vow of poverty in their quest to live a life of piety; the ubiquitous lowly-paid university teachers who successfully train their charges in their given academic fields; the police officer who makes about the same as most of us do while successfully protecting his or her town from scum; and, last, the E.F.L. instructors around the world who successfully train the aspiring Trumps of the world to communicate in English.

Roch:

Thanks for the assist. Actually the smartest people in this world, by and large, whose efforts and talents most often go unrecognized are women, especially mothers.

A former Arab colleague asked me once what I felt was the single most limiting factor in the Middle East. I replied without hesitation: the simple fact that half of the population of these countries are undereducated, underused, and underappreciated in the public realm. He winced, but agreed. He's Jordanian, and a lot more forward-thinking that the typical man from that region, however.

Never mind, dogbert, he's still licking his wounds.

The OP is a success at being a pompous know-nothing.

Me, I'd rather be as rich as Trump.

And I already have my doctorate. Laughing

I'm no fan of Trump but ya got to admire or envy him his wealth and influence. Besides, I like that he slammed Rosie O' Donnell. Even if I dislike Trump I think of Rosie as an abomination. Come to think of it though, they are both despicable.

For better or worse the wealthy and famous have a lot of clout and influence. The could be morons like Tom Cruise but his wealth and fame influence many people.

Please let's not get into a fuss over who has more letters to go with his name. The worshipping of titles and 'intellect' hasn't helped anybody, ever. It's produced a lot of books though, and a lot of arrogance to boot.

Roch, so to continue....... despite your examples, might I infer that you equate success as "being without money" or what exactly is it that you equate with success??? Being able to apply for a doctorate? I don't agree, that would undoubtably make me a success and since I am much different than "catch the wave" McGarrett, all I can assume is that he cannot be a success because he would be the same as I, or if different than not a success.

To wit, let's go back and read our Alice in Wonderland or will you continue to inform us that success is for the most part, everyone's providence?

My own take, is that a success is the man who doesn't think so (to paraphrase Dr. Johnson [noooo, not that Johnson!!!!!]. Certainly Trump thinks so and that is why he has been so successful at being unsuccessful.

I don't know Trump's education level, but he is very business minded, and smart in that area. However, very stupid with women.

Rosie and her little man-bashing bunch of fatties that can never get married all lost their credibility when they called Trump's show a 'bomb', despite being one of the top rated programs for 4 years.

He has a graduate degree in quantitative finance from the Wharton school. He may be a blowhard, but he is a damn smart blowhard.

While I have to say Donald T is a giant, insufferable windbag, I have to agree that Condi is quite the lightweight.

When first appointed to the Bush admin she new absolutely nothing about Canada...their largest trading partner....all she could offer up as info about Canada at an official visit to ex-prime minister Kim Campbell in LA was" I once went to Alberta for a figure skating competition".
Kim was not impressed.
Not the stuff of high diplomacy.

I'm not against learning on the job, but some jobs just shouldn't be filled that way.

Trump vs the OP?

While the OP is spending his time being a know it all on Daves, Trump is enjoying his billions.

I wasn't impressed at his mud slinging with Rosie O'Donnell, both of them are in it for the attention. Not sure to what to make of his latest rant, I guess I'd have to see what he says and the context in which he says it.
