Its ok. What they dont have is this: Cash advance on credit cards. English option on the bank machine, which can be a problem if your trying to do something more than take cash out, like paying your bills and what not.
I have been at the sameone now for two years and they are great to me. I get the VIP rate when i send cash home (my schools influence there), and when i first started banking with them they asked me what is the top priority when being served at the bank. I thought that was class. My answer was privacy in case you were wondering. Ajumas and Ajoshis try to look over my shoulder and check out what im doing when im in there.

I had to open a Deagu Bank account when I started a new job last year; it is OK, no problems so far. Later this year, I will be moving to Cheonan and rather than go through the hassle of closing down my Daegu Bank a/c and changing my phone payment over to my KB account, I want to stay with Daegu Bank. Can I find Daegu Bank branches in other parts of the country (particularly Cheonan)? |

I used Daegu Bank when I lived down there for a year. They were ok, but none of the ATM's (at that time) had menus in English. The only reason I used that bank is because my employer wanted me to. I also had a Hana Bank account from when I first go here, so when I moved up to Seoul I switched back to Hana. |

If you have a Daegu Bank bank account, you'll always have to pay the highest bank machine fees when you go outside of Daegu. There are almost no Daegu Bank bank machines outside of Daegu.
I like traveling around Korea, so I changed my bank account to a national bank, KB Bank. This bank has bilingual bank machines.

It rates poorly, IMO. Especially if you want to buy international money orders. I prefer Nonghyup. |

I used it for a year and had no problems as long as you stay in daegu. As mentioned before their ATMS are in Korean only.
I prefer the Kookmin bank because they are everywhere and their ATMS are in English and Korean. |

Is anybody surprised that Daegu Bank ATMs are Korean only? |
