hello lovely board,
I just got a call from some Korean friends and I'm headed up to Seoul to catch up with them.
I proposed renting a gym so we could all play jokku (foot volleyball) or some other sport but the guy who looked into it said there's nothing like that available in his area.
I said WTF! They *GOTTA* have something like the YMCA/YWCA here don't they?
And it got me wondering. Does anyone on this board know of any indoor spaces (I'm thinking about tennis or badminton courts for jokku) that can be rented anywhere in Seoul?
Many thanks for helpful replies. |

I've never heard of anyone doing this. Your Korean friends probably know more about it than anyone. If they say there isn't a place, it's probably true. |

You're probably right.
But on Dec. 24th, some other Korean friends of mine in Jeollanamdo took me to a smalltown badminton club (indoor gym) that we could rent for the day and we played badminton and foot-volleyball there.
I just figured the big city must have more of the same.
Maybe I'm going about it wrong. Maybe I should be looking for sports clubs in Seoul. |
