I realise we are busy with with many varied tasks. May I recommend an interesting web site entitled five card Nancy. Don't be decieved by imposters! Just hit a search engine. 7415 comics is the real site.

But don't miss the critiques on other sites!

A skilled player can interactively play. I would suggest viewing the hall of fame prior to trying to play. Don't forget to Name the Game!

A skilled player can add panels, my favorite is Nancy's Terrorist Agenda. Add the panel of Nancy flipping a coin.

Don't forget to create a title for the game.

It takes a while to get the general idea, and many of course fail to find the Dadaesque/zen qualities interesting much less ... whatever.

It is nice to think that there are bored people playing this game. It takes a while to figure it out, in the sense that you have to really look at it.

I had a great laugh checking this out. You choose old panels from old NANCY comic strips with Nancy and Sluggo and make your own silly comic. It is fun.

Well it is always as a cosmic traveler difficult to tell which galaxy (if that) I am in. Even Five Card Nancy requires a certain sense of cosmic Zen awarness. It is yet one of my few links to the Undersea Maganese Modules that are needed to fuel my as you would naively term "spacecraft."

What is interesting about Five Card Nancy as a game is the introduction of narrative structure, something certainly lacking in the original "comic strips."

We need narrative structure to understand the world.

The naked woman standing on the eves of the 20th floor. Is she going to jump? Why? A bad drug trip? A bad relationship? Just nuts? A statement of some sort?

We need the narrative structure to try to put things together into a logical plot. Five Card Nancy is hillarious because we can create a narrative structure to what is isolated almost idioticly into zen conceptions of the world contained into a temporal framework (frames) by Nancy's simplistic thinking.

It is certainly not a game for the nonthinkers amoungst us. One has to has to understand the non literal.

The site itself is a little hard to understand and play in terms of the "cult" that runs it. They will be however very welcoming if you really want to play it.

It is merely a game of introducing a narrative structure to what are seemingly random events.

Not too much different from science.
