Got back from LotteMart at Seoul Station an hour ago. When I go to putting things away, . . and happen to take a look at the receipt . . I notice some big differences between the quantity of certain things that I actually bought and the number the receipt says I bought.

Turns out, when you buy things from the Daiso section ( "the 1,000 store"), the cashier lumps the items into groups of 1,000-won items . . 1,500-won items. . and 2,000-won items and shows each group as being one item X (times) the number of such like-priced items you bought. And the like-priced items all do have the same bar code number. So, maybe the cashier doesn't have to bother lumping them together, but the computer does it automatically on the receipt instead.

Glad I figured it out before I had to eat some major crow when, as I had planned, I had gone back there tomorrow and complained !

(Interesting grammar situation there, huh? I want to say (and did before editing it!) "when I would have gone back there" but it just seems like too much construction for a simple thought ! But then, what I did write seems a bit odd in a time-tense way. Hmm . . another way you'd suggest?!)

I'm glad I figured it out before going back to complain, as I had planned, because I would have eaten some major crow.

I'm glad I figured it out before I ended up eating some major crow, as I had planned to go back tomorrow to complain.

I'm glad I figured it out before having to eat some major crow, as I had planned to go back tomorrow to complain.

I'm not 100% certain if these are correct, but they are possible alternatives.
