hey, i went to buy a cell phone today and the salesperson told me i can only buy card cell phone unless i have i ID card with an F stamp.
i dont know what this F stamp thing is but seen as i dont even have my ID number at all yet im out of luck. Im thinking now ill ask one of my korean friends if they'll help me buy the phone with their ID number and have the bill charged to my bank account of course.
my Q is ,can anyone fill me in on this F stamp? or has anyone else managed to get a bill paying cell phone any other way?
Thanks. |

Foreigners can get a normal account with SK Telecom with a 200,000 won deposit. You will need your ARC first, though.
F stamp probably means an F-type visa (like F-2 or F-4). Some companies are anal like that. Go to SK. They will hook you up. |
