It depends what part of Gunpo. If you are talking about close to Geumjung Station or Gunpo Station, then no. If you are talking about the Sanbon area, then I would go with it. It's pretty nice over here. Many parks, mountains, etc. Not too crowded, only in EMart. |

Do a search for Ilsan, myself and several others have posted wads about the place in the last few months. |

Jaga, please stop putting wads here and there. Someone might catch something, |

I've never been to Ilsan, but I agree with what zappadelta said. The area around Sanbon station is quite nice, but the areas around Gunpo and Geumjeong stations leave much to be desired. |

Ilsan seems more modern than Gunpo.
The area around Gunpo station is really run down. Sanbon is decent but not as good as Ilsan downtown. Also, Ilsan is on subway line 3 versus line 1 for Gunpo. Line 1 is the worst.
Ilsan is northwest of Seoul.
Gunpo is south of Seoul.
If you like to hang out in Gangnam, Gunpo is more convenient.
If you like partying in Shinchon, Ilsan is closer. |

Well, if he/she ends up in the Sanbon area, that is line 4, which is a pretty convenient line. Agreed, line 1 stinks. |

I've never been to Ilsan but might check it out someday. What's the best stop to get a general feel for the area? |
