Other than the deserved or undeserved comments about how stupid a thing it was to do so: I need to know what the best way to deal with a lost visa and passport. I arrived at Incheon last night and thought that I had properly secured my passport with visa in my zippered pocket, but upon arrival in Daejeon, discovered that it was not there. Is there a contact number for the lost and found at the airport? And does anyone have any experience with having lost a passport or visa?

You need to get in touch with your embassy ASAP. Regardless of whether they find it at the airport. You can get a new one processed, once done, then go to Korean immigration to let them know that you have a new passport. This is the lost and found number at incheon 032-741-3114.

Good luck.

You will also need to go to the poilice and fill out a form there.
You will need this form if you want a new one.

When I am broke I always sell my passport to Mossad, and then report it stolen at my embassy in Seoul. Works every time.

First go to the Police station and file a report. Then bring that report to the embassy. You'll also need to go to immigration to get your exit/entrance information.

I lost my passport once and they can make one in about 2 hours but it will only be valid for 1 year. Also, you are also entitled to a free 10 year passport application, which you can also do from the embassy.

I don't think those Middle Eastern looking guys are Mossad, they can print up as many as they like. You probably have been dealing with hezbolah or al quaida...
