Hi there, Just want to know 2 things (please help!):
Which is the cheapest ski resort in Korea?
If nobody knows, then when is the cheapest time (i.e. morning, afternoon, night etc) to go skiing?
And which is the LEAST popular ski resort to go to? We want to try avoid the crowds (-I know I'm asking a lot here!)
Thanx so much! |

Some of the resorts offer all-nite skiing, or close too. They call it Late Night/Dawn skiing. Those times are obviously the cheapest and least crowded.
The least popular resort is irrelevent, this is Korea, its always going to be crowded, especially the resorts close to Seoul.
The best time to ski is during Sollal, because the vast majority of Koreans visit and stay with their families.
Last year I went to Yongpyeong for 3 days during Sollal and the resort was empty. Not a single wait for a lift the whole stay.
I also went for two days at Christmas a couple years ago. Christmas was on the Saturday and it was packed, but the Sunday it was empty. So if you've got the week off for Christmas go then, then go again during Sollal.
I also have a Korean co-worker who has a season's pass for Vivaldi Park (near Seoul) and he says the best time to go there is Friday night's for the night ski as its not crowded at all. |

I bet Bears Town would be cheap and not crowded these days. That is, if you don't mind your chairlift falling off the line. |

On Jan 1 I saw a singles line for the gondola at yongpyong and there was never a line at new gold lift.

I went on a weekday to Bearstown and there were no lines. The all day lift tickets was W35,000 after the 30% discount. |
