Just realized this function was added.
To me, that's a huge change.
Of course, one has always been able to delete content, but now that you can erase posts completely, we lose a paper trail of sorts showing what's been said.
I personally don't like it.
What about you? |

It's always been there, but only if a post has no replies. Once someone has replied you can't delete. |

I'm not sure. All I know is that I've been using the delete function since 2003. |

Well, that seems to answer the question.
Thanks. |

Well, since this thread has served its purpose, I think I'll hijack it and continue on about questions and answers.
Gertrude Stein (author of 'The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas') on her deathbed...
"What is the answer? What is the answer?"
[no one said anything]
"In that case, what is the question?] |

I'm not a fan of her more 'esoteric' writing, but just love the Autobiography. I laughed myself silly (and more than a little awed) at her story of how she conned Picasso into designing the upholstery for her dining room chairs. Pure chutzpa. (spelling?) |

Are you kidding? I can't be the only guy who got to spend a whole night with his girlfriend because of the logistics of her attending a GT concert! Girls liked them and that got many of us guys out to the concert in tow, knowing our priorities, music was always second fiddle.
Tom Cochrane and Red Rider opened and rocked the house, upstaging the so-called main event. Later my girlfriend and I got to sleep in my bed because her parents seriously misjudged my dad's reliability as a chastity preserver: his concern is simply for our safety and well being, which meant he fed us teenagers a nice meal the night before and breakfast the next morning, and - oh - reminded us to use protection. (then)... (later that night)... (now) |
