I'm sure that this article is just a crock, but I'll leave to all the brilliant philosopher-kings on this board to explain why it's really all about an altruistic drive to spread God's blessings of American-style democracy to the poor benighted blokes of the planet. (P.S. I wasn't thinking of any particular philospher-king as so many of you are brilliant and noble beyond words.)
