I know this has been covered to some extent, but I was wondering if anyone could help me by recommending a specific tailor in Bangkok to get a suit and some trousers made.
I'm not looking to break the bank but I don't want to buy something that falls apart within a few months either. |

| My biggest advice is don't go to any tailor that a cabbie or tuk-tuk driver recommends you to or takes you to. There are many good tailors in the silom area, I had good luck there. |

| My husband got a custom made suit for around US$300ish I think. It was a high end tailor, but they really know what they are doing. He'll have it for life. If you want the contact info, let me know. |

Not Thailand, but I bought my suits at the Suit Company in Tokyo.
I believe I paid about Y30,000 ($300 US) maybe for one. The second suit was at a discount because I bought them at the same time.
If you ever get over to Tokyo, check them out. They have stores in Shinjuku (underground mall area of Shinjuku Station) and Kichijoji.
Good quality and different styles to choose from. |
