I hear cigarette's are dirt cheap in South Korea and smoking is rampant. I wonder if these lax sentiments on tobacco apply to chewing tabocca.

Is chewing tobacco easy to find, is it normal to spit your chewing tobacco on the streets (is it true that people are constantly spitting?) Can I find Skoal and Red Man, and Apple, what's available?

I'm not advocating its use, I just used to chew when involved in my 2 favorite sports, hockey and baseball.

Yeah I've never seen it here, but I am curious about something you said. You chew tabocca's when playing hockey? Where do you spit?

Just before games, but on a team in minor hockey, it was rookie initiation to play with Skoal in your mouth at all times during 1 game, lets just say that was a tough game, had a empty gatorade on the bench, but you made sure you didnt get checked too hard. Some guys can handle it, but I have to concentrate on breathing whenb i play sports.

I'll never forget one time in Junior C level hockey, I checked someone really hard in the boards, and made big contact in his gut, he spat a huge dip of Skoal right in my face, that was disgusting.

Aw to be 16-19 again and be young and stupid again.... I think I just need ridiculous amounts of alcool to achieve that I guess.

Copenhagen and Skoal are available at Dandy's Market (Hannam Market red door store) and sometimes on the second floor of the Hamilton Arcade in Itaewon. Not cheap, though.

get yourself to an Indian joint, and ask for Guthka. Its a hell of a lot stronger/cheaper than any other chewing tobacco. The taste ain't bad neither. Warning, seriously, this stuff is damn strong. Don't try driving or anything till you get used to it.

Only if it's a nice flavour like Apple, Spearmint, Peach or Wintergreen, hahaha.

There's been no lasting snow since last month, but you could possibly play ice hockey on my street from all of the frozen spit (and a fair amount of frozen puke) accumulated.

(But I live in a really po' part of town, where the spittation frequency is perhaps a billion times higher than, say, Gangnam.)

Cigars can be bought on the second floor of the Hamilton Arcade or at the Intercontinental Hotel closest to Samseong Station at Coex---cigar store is on the ground floor in the back. Much cheaper to order them off the internet, however at www.cigarsofhabanos.com . Need a credit card.
