Hello all you teachers out there,
I was just wondering if anybody there works for CDI Dongnae?
The job ads write that there are seven paid holidays per year... are they only the public holidays, like Chusok, or do you get to choose the week you take off?
Is this a franchise, or a company owned school?
How many hours per month do you average, and do you have to work weekends?
Thanks,
Ben |

Most places offer 10 minimum. I think they are short-changing whoever agrees to work there. |

You generally get Chusok and Lunar New years. You ONLY get the central holiday, not the other 2 days. If they fall on a non-teaching day then you snooze, you lose.
Sometimes you get other national holidays off at certain Fridays, butthey usually make you make up that day on another day.
You also get 1 CALENDAR week off. Not 7 teaching days, just a Calendar week - Sunday to Saturday. If you are on monthly contract, the timing of your weeks is circumscribed and you only have a few choices for when you can take that week. Also, you can't take it during the first 6 months. |
