I've been teaching a lot of structure, which has a lot to do with grammar, for the last few weeks. We have been reviewing things like subjects, verbs, passive, parallelism, gerunds and infinitives, etc..Do your students actually find this enjoyable? My boss has this crazy notion that 6th graders really love it and that I should make it into a game for them. What has your experience been while teaching it? |

TOEFL is a fact of life for students who want to study abroad and it's becoming more popular with Korean employers. If you can make TOEFL INTERESTING, that's great!!...although why 6th graders need to study for it is beyond me!
Since the exam has several components (and this is changing even as we speak!) you might want to do some writing, some conversation, some grammar, some listening and some "test strategy" classes. There are a ton of websites out there that have "games" for different areas. Check them out! |
