Mmmmmmmmmmm beeeeeeeeeeeeer

From some Dude's Blog:
Big Rock Brewery: The guy orders Big Rock directly from Alberta, Canada. There are a lot of foreigners there but not a raucous crowd.. more the pub-goers. The food menu is pretty good (I liked the potato skins)... but if you are a cocktail fan.. you'll be missing out as they're off the menu. However, if you have been craving Big Rock's Honey Brown ale... this place is a god-send.
Haha: The *beep* word is cacktail (with an "o" instead of an "a") Man this site is really lame sometimes.
To get there:
1) Go to Gangnam Station and go out Exit #7
2) At the Paris Baguette take a left.
3) Continue up the hill until you get to the "Hoegaarden" and turn right.
4) Walk about 15 meters and you'll see it on your right hand side. |

Old news, and possible the location of the next get-together. I asked the owner, and the beer is shipped from Alberta. Unfortunately the Grasshopper doesn't taste as fresh as I'm used to. |

There are real micro-brew pubs in Korea (as in, they make their own beer).
That seems somewhat more special to me. |

Went there last week. The beer was good but at 6800 won/pint
I definately won't be making it my regular watering hole. The food
was nothing special. (the potato skins came with sweet cream...hmm)
The music also was nothing special.
What Seoul needs is a microbrewery bar with the atmosphere and
music of Woodstock in Sinchon. |

6,800 won? That's ass. I'll stick to Alley Kat at 5k a glass and in several of my regular watering holes at the moment. |

The place seems to have a weekend brunch (pancakes, eggs, etc.) for about 9,000 won. I tried to go there last weekend but the Korea Times had the crappiest of all directions. (They did a review a couple weeks ago.) Couldn't find it.
I gather the proper directions are get out x7 Gangnam. The little alley between Starbucks and Coffee Bean take a RIGHT. You'll see a GS25. Follow the road UP the hill, keeping the GS 25 on your right. |

The easiest way to find it is to go in the Starbucks from the front, walk through and go out the back, then keep going straight up the hill until you see it on your left. If you see stairs going up to a library then you've gone too far.
You know, I think I'll make a video showing how to get there and put it up on YouTube. That'll be a lot easier than explaining. |

Find Platinum/Beer Hunter, go behind them, take a left. It's easy. |
