And I would continue, it has been the last 6 years also. Just takes time for the crisis to boil and bubble ............over...............
One can say many things but I think the most cognicent thing to be said would be that the Bush administration is not about ideas, good, legislation, direction, leadership. It is about damage control, reactive. In the good old sense of keeping their spoons in the pot and ain't nobody going to come between me and my dinner.
Sad statement that these guys are in office when so long they have shown their colours. So long have shown they are thugs and just put out fires that might someday allow some green to flourish quickly.
I accuse, J'accuse, the media first and foremost and next, that America which has pursued the path of "look after me, number one' , self help America, Oprah and the whole of those who have pursued the culture of denial and self-aggrandissment. Bush was not elected or not prosecuted precisely because he is not an exception but a rule. Men like him don't rise up out of nowhere, but of the culture and soil they are part of.
America needs to turn over her soil and start planting anew....this is the time and I hope some brave souls stand up and swing the hoe.

One of my heroes. African of course (from the very authentic, soulful laughter, demeanor), a runner unsurpassed in the joy he runs with and wins with.....
