That's about the only question I get asked in interviews. They drool when they ask it; you can see the vultures circling in their eyes.

How do you respond in a way that lets them know you're not an ignorant newbie who'll happily be shafted, that you've done your research and know the crap they'll trying to get away with?

I'd say just say yes to the question, but discuss any teaching experience you've had before or teacher training to clarify your qualifications.

Then be sure to ask them intelligent questions later about curriculum, schedules, tax & pension, and other issues that are all too common here so that they know you know what time it is.
