I've heard of the "ball ae bang" which I have never used, but apparently they'll do the wash for you... just curious if there is an actual coin laundromat anywhere in Korea? (I was pleasantly surprised to see a few in Taipei but that aint Korea.)

This is a very good question.

I asked my girlfriend about this very same thing just last night. We walked by one last night and I said "Hey. Do they have these places in Korea?"

She said no, but their are places where you take your clothes in, and they do all the washing/drying for you and you come to pick them up after a few hours.

Just saw one yesterday in Itaewon. It's "behind the main drag and not really easy to find. I was lost and saw it.
Go to bugure king and turn right. Turn right again at the first street/ally. You'll see it slopes downward. Keep walking and you'll see the laundromat on your right.

Basic wash dry and fold is about 2000 per kilo for bulk stuff.

Prices go up for individual items - like if you took in 2 shirts, 2 pants and a jacket it would run about 10-12k. You get them back cleaned, pressed and hung.

The ballebang near me charges 5,000 for a small load of laundry that's still wet and wrinkled when I go pick it up.

There's one right by my house. It's coin operated. I haven't actually used it so I can't quote you a price. But I assure you they exist.
