Just bought a new rig from yongsan and had the technician install win xp pro.
But what i'm wondering is how to I change the passowrd to login to win xp?
Also, how do you password protect individual folders?
When I turn my computer off there is an option to log off as USER but I don't know how to log back in as user IF I choose that option.
I also read that it is good to create a password to keep your computer protected from hackerz.?..
Anyways, many thanks to the members of the tech forum for the wealth of information. All the info definitely helped me not to get burned over at yongsan and get a computer that's right for me. |

Start-->Control Panel-->User Accounts
From there, you can choose/change/add user names and set up a p/w.
For files and folders, just right-click on them and select "Sharing and Security." Check "Make this folder private" and then click "apply." If you already don't have a p/w set up for you or any other users, you will be promted for it/them then. |
