Sure you guys pay higher taxes, but look at all the advantages you have. It seems that Canada has a lot going for it. Free health care, environmentally-friendly laws, and kind citizens. It seems that all the Americans that I meet here are just envious of all of the things that we have that they don't. It is beginning to frustrate me.

After all, Canada does supply the U.S. with so much of it's oil. What do we do? We screw you on softwood lumber. Also, Canada is so multicultural, while the US only has white culture, black culture, and latino culture. It makes me sick.

My girlfriend is Canadian, and I really want to marry her so that I can move to Canada. I really can't wait to get away from all of the American jackasses, warmongers, and Bible-thumpers. Really, though, that's all that there is there.

I guess what I really mean is that I want to get away from the cultureless US and move to a place that has it's own identity.

Go Canada!

I agree with what you say, but Canada now has a really right-wing government and seems to be heading down the wrong path. It's too bad that the populace doesn't seem to want to support the NDP because they are the only real party that embodies the heart and soul of the Canadian people. Did you see how Harper is continuing to send Canadian troops off to die in George Bush's little stint in Afghanistan? Canadian soldiers get wounded there every day and even a death there every once in a while. I don't know why the Canadian people don't wake up and see it for what it is. We shouldn't be following Harpercrite aka Baby Bush in this.

You should head to rural Alberta then, especially the central and south parts of the province. It's kind of this inland hippie empire, with a lot of back-to-the-land vegan lifestyle types. Think Haight-Ashbury with a few grain elevators.

Some might label you as a self-hating American? Okay, you can prefer Canada to America. But do you think trashing most Americans is warranted?

Frankly, the part about Bible-thumpers does hold true for large parts of the South. I do find that part irritating. I hardly dealt with that when I was in Canada. I believe if I really am interested in what you have to offer with it's Baptist thinking or Catholicism, let me investigate on my own. I also felt that the reaction leading up the invasion kind of scared me.

As far as the U.S. being culturless that is a joke. How does Canada have more culturel than the U.S. The U.S. invented baseball and American football. Rock and Roll started in the U.S. Hot dogs and hamburgers trace to German Americans. The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox are all part of the culture. Surfing and California is part of it, too.
Yes, unfortunately, the Bible thumping and some of the fanatical attacks against political views that diverge from those calling for blood in 2003
obviously can repel some people.

Some Canadians prefer to live in America because they don't like the taxes and like a certain thing about the can-do spirit of the U.S. There is nothing wrong with your preference but you are essentially saying all America is the same. If I was given a good job in certain parts of Cali or New York or Boston, I would feel at home or even Austin. However, some parts of the South are just not open enough in my opinion.

No country is utopia. Canada has too many part-time jobs unless that has changed.

Much of the two countries in the same.

The U.S. is more this, and Canada is more that, but in a nutshell there's not really that much difference when it comes to daily living.

Healthcare is not free in Canada. You pay an anual fee and though you will not be treated like a hotel guest in a hospital, the chances of recovery are fairly good. Canadians who like what the U.S. has to offer, and choose to move there can do so. I think this is great that people on both sides of the border can have a choice.

Canada will most probably benefit from global warming.

Real estate boom in the Northern Territories.

I do wonder though if Sasquatch will become extinct as a result.

Yeah, the last ice age wiped out the dragons, so maybe sasquatch could be next.

The dragons are frozen in the glaciers and will thaw as a result of global warming.

Unclear on the concept?

The US is, say it with me, cul-ture-less. It is a cesspool of filth and everything that is wrong in the world today. If only more people embraced God and His teachings! The Lord is the only way to salvation! Hallelujah!!!

Canada IS the utopia, the one and only utopia in today's scum-filled world. There is no trailer trash in Canada. There is hardly any unemployment at all. Taxes are very reasonable and everyone is always happy. And we certainly don't have those dirty, disease-ridden Mexicans coming and going as they bloody well please.

Top That! (not the video... cringe...)

This has gotta be sarcasm and it seems no one caught on.

Canada is at the top of the world, looking down on creation. What could be better?
