I am searching for a good place to eat lobster in Seoul. Lonely Planet mentions the Noryangjin Fish Market Restaurants. Where are other good restaurants? The cheaper the better. If you have a recommendation, please include directions if possible. Ciao, and chow on lobster.

They used to have games on the street where you operated a crane-like device to win your lobster! I say 'used to' because the PC-nazi lobster lobby banned them.

노량진 market is the best place. Buy it and bring it home (just make sure your pot is big enough). 가락시장 also has relatively reasonably priced lobster. The price flucuates from ridiculous to almost reasonable during the year and even over the years.

I plan on killing the lobster slowly, by turning my stove onto low or medium instead of max. That way, I can hear it scream for hours while I dump salt in its eyes every five minutes. Then, I'll take it out and put into cool salt water. After it has a false sense of security, I'm going to hack off one of it's legs, maybe two, and put it back into the lukewarm water.

Ok, seriously, I'm still looking for a restaurant.

My brother-in-law used to buy lobster at some large fish market in Incheon I believe. Used to pay 15000won or so per lobster. That comes to about 10$ Canadian a pound. Not bad considering the fact that the lowest price I've seen in the Maritimes this summer was 6.99$ a pound (just slightly cheaper if you know an Indian who's willing to sell to you).

Canadian Lobster in Gangnam is suppose to be a great spot.

A friend of mine exports lobsters to many of the good lobster restaurants in the seoul area.

Expect to pay more than double, if not triple for the cost of a good lobster dinner.

I wanted to pick up some lobsters to cook for for my anniversary dinner, but I've never seen any lobster crackers for the claws. How do you crack the claws without that tool? I thought about using a hammer, but then you would drive bits of the shell into the meat, and that's no good. Any ideas?
