I have an external already but its almost full...looking to buy another but this time 250gb...the ones you can assemble yourself
Just wondering what how much it is at yongsan....saw one on auction for 80 000 odd...that must be crap

Also they make a distinction on the auction site between harddrives for notebooks and desktops....surely if you buy the right size external case for the hardrive then you can just connect any harddrive to a notebook with a usb?

I just bought a 250GB, 7200 RPM Seagate external hard drive for 77,000 won, and an aluminum case for 23,000 won in Yongsan yesterday.

Actually, the people in the outside computer area at Yongsan were trying to charge me 150,000 won for a 150GB Samsung model, so then I went inside to the 6 story electronics place in the IPark area, and found it to be a lot cheaper.

Also, ask for Seagate because Samsung costs more. As the man said, "This is Korea...People want to buy Samsung."

It connects to my laptop via a USB 2.0 jack, so I assume you can use it for desktops as well.

ever heard of 바가지 (bagaji)? they were trying to rip off the foreigner. that's why you should check prices at http://pc.danawa.com/ before you go.

the model you refer to at the danawa website.

have you had any problems?

were you conned?

if you were its nothing to be ashamed of.

we should start a thread about the worst con jobs people have suffered in asia.

mine is definitly when i was in China and i bought an mp3 which i thought was 2gb for a fair bit and it turned out to be 128mb.

looking back on that it is pretty funny.
