Does anybody know of any websites focussed on teaching in Korea, as opposed to living in Korea?

I'm looking for one that focusses on the Korean aspects of teaching English internationally e.g. Korean pronunciation issues, Korean textbooks, activities that appeal to Koreans and are accepted by management/parents etc.

Thanks, it irritates me when somebody picks me up on a grammatical point. You're dead right though and I shouldn't be making these mistakes, considering I'm an English teacher and I want to continue teaching for the foreseeable future (mistakes due to ignorance and not due to the fact that I'm a fast typer Embarassed ).

I'd like a website where teachers in Korea can discuss issues related to teaching techniques and methodology.

Is anybody interested in this or know an existing one? In other words, has anybody seen a website that focuses on this subject? Wink

try http://eflgeek.com/.

there are more for sure- but it's a good one to start with.

also a number of the KOTESOL special interest groups (SIGs) have fairly active forums- you can find them through http://www.kotesol.org/.

technically you are supposed to be a member of KOTESOL, but to be honest a lot of the SIGs don't really check/care. I like some of the discussions on http://www.callsig.org/ myself.

Some of the websites on my link below contain articles related to the Korean learner. Scroll down to 'T' for 'Teacher Training' on right hand sidebar.
