Naksan Garden near the Hyehwa subway station is pretty good. Another place is a Turkish restaurant across the street and I also hear an Iranian has opened a Persian joint in the same area.

If you like Vietnamese cuisine, there's supposed to be a place across the street from KFC into an alley.

There's a retro 50's-style burger and sandwich joint in Hyehwa called Platters that I can recommend. The food is good and quite cheap... Try the chilli bowl...

Nolbu...Located in the same building as Sizzler. It's in the basement. Great place, live traditional Korean music concert, good food, 12,000 W per person. You sit on the floor on cushions and the sangcharim banquet is brought out to you on a low table- 20 dishes including dwenjon jiggae, beef stew, pajong and japchae (I copied the last part from the Lonely Planet). I've been there over 5 times and love it every time I go. The women are excellent singers and also there is a lot of room to accompany your large group.
