|
|
I was told by another poster that the GEPIK program supply pre-made lesson plans for their elementary and middle school teachers.
I've had a look on their website but not really sure what i'm looking for.
I'm interested in having a look at what they expect to be taught to each each group and what level of supplementing would be required.
Can you point me in the right direction? |

Here are the lesson plans that accompany theh textbooks for elementary school grades 3 through 6: http://www.gochang.es.kr/gepik/zboard.php?id=c1
I don't teach middle school, and I haven't heard anything about standardized lesson plans. |

| Is GEPIK the only one doing this or do the other provinces do that same thing? |

Gangwon province also has a program - Schwa posted a little about it a couple of weeks ago.
As for GEPIK - it depends entirely on the school. I'm at a middle school and we use a standard textbook with a full set of lesson plans - but my coteachers have divided lessons up in an intuitive way and as a result I don't need any plans - it's entirely role play for each lesson. |

Nothing like a learner centred curriculum. |

yes they do. Very convenient too, as a ready base to teach from.
Do SMOE/ EPIk have the same thing? Nothing worse than having to design your own curriculum as you go along.. |

Exactly.
I've had a review of some of the elementary ones. A little dry but a good basis to work from and a very good idea of what is the students are expected to learn/be learning.
Would be interesting to see what the Middle School ones are like or if there are any available.
There is nothing worse than having to design a curriculum as you go or even worse decipher a curriculum that has been translated from another language to English by somebody who isn't full proficient in English.
If anybody has any middle school ones can they post a link please. |
