Any one share any stories about getting sick or injured in Korea?

How did it go? were you treated fairly?

How much did it run you and how good is our payment into the healthcare system?

I broke my clavicle at work and was hospitalized for ten days (the Dr. wanted me 'in' for three weeks... but I refused). Used all fifteen days of my sick leave, then went back to work.

I had to pay W241000 insurance deductable, but was reimbursed by the school district after treatening to go to the Labour Board - in Korea, an employer is legally responsible for all costs incurred through a workplace injury or disease.

P.S. Korean hospital food is VILE!
