I don't know how much these run/ran new, but in my opinion, you can nearly buy a '97 car for 900k. Seems a bit high for a used and older scooter, even if it does still look shiny and flash.
This is of course an unresearched opinion. Good luck with the sale. |

I normally hate people who post "your price is way to high" or other crap, but I just gotta do it here.
I could buy a brand new 125cc scooter for just under 1,000,000 from a dealer down in Jeju. And that was with warranty, service for a couple of years, and a helmet.
I can't see a 10-year old scooter going for that much when cars from the late-90s are being sold for 1,000,000 or so.
Good luck.

Scooter prices tend not to be based on the year of the scooter, but on the size of the engine (ccs), the amount of use (km), and general condition. Comparing scooter prices to car prices is like comparing apples to oranges, only they're not even the same shape.
BTW, where can I get a new scooter (125cc) for 1,000,000? Obviously, you didn't understand the price correctly, it was missing an engine, or you're just making up a story. |

Nope, not making it up. The shop where I got my bike serviced had new scooters for right around 1,000,000 won. Of course, this was almost 2 years ago now, but surely the prices haven't changed that much.
For reference, I was also able to buy a brand new 125cc motorcycle (Daelim cruiser style) for 1,250,000 won. So, no, not making this one up.

Same. Granted, the shop's in the boonies, but fair prices there. I just wouldn't want to ride a scooter from Asan to Seoul and all.
I try not to criticize people for posting high prices, either. If they can sell it, that's cool. I didn't notice it was 125cc before, but I still think it's up there. Just my opinion though, I'll be quiet now. |

| You are right that you can buy a motorcycle for cheaper than a scooter and their prices are lower, but I have never seen a 125 cc scooter in good condition up for less than 800,000 won and that comes bare with no lock, helmet, or cover. The engine was rebuilt three years ago (sorry I didn't mention it before) and it sure has some spunk. If I wanted, I could be one of the first bikes off the red light (excluding crotch rockets) as the engine is a bit faster than the last 125 cc I had. If you can find a better deal - I'm fine with that. Happy shopping and thanks for your honest input! |
