Been pricing tickets to BKK. It's a lot more expensive than I thought! Is it cheaper to buy a one way there and wait to get my return ticket in Bankok? I seem to remember reading a thread that said tickets from Thailand to ROK were less expensive if purchased in Thailand.
Who did you get your tickets from? I've been watching the ads in the Herald and it looks like the best I can do for a round trip is around 700,000. Then I'm also flying to and from Phuket. Any suggestions are appreciated. |

| I have been looking into tour packages for this spring, and was told that for round trip between seoul and bangkok, 5 nights in a resort, roundtrip airfare within thailand, 3 nights in a different resort, breakfasts, and some tours it would cost in the mid 800's. Contact Linda at [email protected] She is the one that gave me the info. Hope this helps! |

| www.whypaymore.co.kr is listing a flight on Eva air for 436 (plus plus). Probably only for some travel dates. Get a Korean friend to look at the details and then you can go by their office to do the business. Never bought from them myself but their website is a good guage of the prices. A friend did buy from them and was happy. |

| When are you going? Right now is high season so tickets on Thai Air are more expensive, about 675,000 won. You might want to try Orient Thai http://www.orient-thai.com/flights_fares.html Their fares, if I am reading it correctly, are about 17,465 baht return which is about 456,000 won. I have not flown them internationally but have used their domestic Thai service, One2Go, between Bangkok and Phuket and the service was okay. |

Planning to leave for Phuket on Feb 8. Do a 4 or 7 day liveaboard and spend some time exploring. Pattaya around the 19th to meet up with some friends. Back to ROK March 1.
Traveling companion (female friend) has had to bail as a result of some family issues. I'm considering the liveaboard as an option to resort/dive setup where I'll have to pay for the room on my own.
Still in the process of trying to make decisions. I've never traveled so this is an opportunity for growth. I'm excited and a bit afraid. Also disappointed not to have someone to come along on this once in a lifetime experience. |

| I flew Thai Airways between BKK and Phuket. I booked the ticket online. A bit more expensive than the budget airlines, but a very pleasant flight. I paid a little over $200 round-trip. |

| The price I posted above for Orient Thai is Incheon to Phuket--Incheon to Bangkok is slightly lower. |

Found flights that route through Taipei for 570,000 including tax. Since this is approx 220,000 less than direct flights, looks like this is it. The schedule says it takes 30 minutes longer. OK. The other thing is that we arrive at 2 AM.
Oh well. Save 200 - dive 200 more! |

| I made the same choice. You can do a lot in Thailand with 200K. I am not sure about you, but the worst part is a 6 hour layover in Taipei on the way back. Unfortunately Taipei is the dumpiest of all the major airports in East Asia. |

| BTW I have been told by my travel agent and the desk at the airport, you can't get into thailand with a one way ticket. (They won't let you leave incheon airport) |

what? tell them you got a train ticket to Malaysia. Thai immigration has never checked for return tickets, heck I've never seen it checked in Cambodia and Laos. |

| You can book a confirmed reservation with Thai Airways via their website, no payment required. In fact a print out of this reservation looks just the same as a paid ticket. I have been told it is the same with Singapore Airlines website. This meets the requirements of both outbound airline clerks and Thai immigration. |

I am getting so frustrated I am about to start screaming!!!!!!!
Trying to make a multi-city trip is next to impossible! I want to go from ICH to Phuket, then to Pattaya, then back to ICH. I've looked at a round trip ticket to BKK with a separate roundtrip ticket to Phuket. Then taking the bus to Pattaya. This gets more expensive with each quote I get.
Does anyone have a solution? I've done the online thing w/ Singapore, Korean, Thai and NOKAIR. The more I try, the more confused I am. If I were only going to BKK or Phuket it would be easy. |
