hey..

i live in ansan. i've been here for 6months and getting fed up with being lazy, with the weather slowly getting warmer i really want to get out and play the beautiful game...

so does anyone know how i can get involved with a team or anyone in the area up for a kick about?

i am looking to play on the weekends and am willing to travel.

also let me know if anyone follows the not so mighty suwon samsung bluewings (k-league) and is up to going to the games...the new season is fast approaching!

thanks..
graham

Where do you live? I wouldn't mind the occasional kickabout (jumpers for goalposts, no offsides and all that). I'm too old/fat/slow/rubbish to play full-on 11-a-side - likewise with some of my friends who I think would be up for it too.

You're in the wrong country for training yourself to get to the professional level. American women are traditionally the best at women's soccer. The reason is only nancy-boys play soccer in the States. You're not a pro, right?

I would suggest you go there, realize you have alot to learn, and ask them to please start off easy. They will undoubtedly initially make you feel inferior, but as you progress at your athletic abilities you can perhaps feel more comfortable and you could even possibly move on to a man's sports.

A sport without the high-kicking and rolling around after a faux-injury.

Play a man's sport, for the love of sports.

Sorry, that's a common Caniff response brought on by the American World Game Inferiority Complex.

Are you guys still looking to play? I would be interested as well - just something casual, or whatever. I live about 45 minutes South of Suwon, but am willing to go wherever to play. It's been awhile.

Last summer, I would get together with 12 or 14 people, and we would set up a field in the grass in Yeouido, and play 6v6 or 7v7 for fun...

If you guys want to play, we'll be starting up again in a couple of weeks when it's warm enough outside...

Usually Sundays around 1pm...

Actually, last summer we always met at 3pm...

However, one of my friends wanted to do it earlier, but if the majority of people still wanna do 3-5ish, then I'm fine with that. It just means that I get to play beach volleyball at Yeouido before soccer Razz
