I'm moving a bunch of stuff to Canada.
I've been to the post office several times, so I'm well familiar with the 6 sizes of boxes that they sell there.
But I want to send a few things which are about 1 meters long. The post office says that they can send that as long as it's all under the overall calculation:
a + b + a + b + c = 3 meters
(the maximum anyone of these dimensions can be is 1.5 meters)
I have a shelf that I like and a few foldable tables that should fit in under those dimensions, but I have no idea where to get a box that I can fit that stuff into.
Anybody know where to get a box like this in Seoul?

I'd be interested in getting some info on packaging too.Especially poster tubes-I've never seen them here.

Most Korean post offices have a packing service in a corner somewhere. They're not the post office, but rather independent contractors. They do a really good job. They'll fashion a box to fit whatever you bring them and they know what the postal size / dimension / weight limits are for the Korean post office and destination postal services.

Prices are posted on the wall and I've always been treated fairly, leaving thinking it was good value for the money.

Yeah, mailer tubes for posters and such - - where to find the?! I've been to a couple of art supply stores in Insa-dong, but nobody seems to have them there. I've resorted to letting the post office packing guys make something for me. (And if I happen to see a long tube in paper garbage some shop stack up outside, I nail it, asking if it's okay if the shop owner is around and paying attention.

Most of the major post office branches have a guy whose job it is to make custom sized boxes for your odd shaped belongings. It's really an art-form, and cheaper than soju. Look for the glint of an exacto blade and a pile of cardboard pieces.

agreed, I've learned alot just from watching these guys, when I get home I'll never be worried about packing after seeing what these guys can do with just about any piece of cardboard.
