I live in the states, and I was wondering where I can get a copy of my HO JEOK DEUNG BON?
I called the embassy and they say I need to get it from KOREA!!
it doesn't make sense... why can't the embassy have it in their system?!!!
I don't have anyone to ask to get the HO JEOK DEUNG BON.. |

The only thing I can suggest is to have a friend do it for you in Korea and have it mailed to you in the states.
Yes, it is automated these days, but it is kept at the local level, so a person would have to go to a district office to get it.
But, as things get more and more automated, you might be able to print one up on the net if you knew the Korean website.
- I had to go through something like that once for my ex-wife, except she is Chinese, we had to get something for visa to the US and the officer asked to see a copy of her Chinese family register (why?, I haven't the faintest clue.....) |

In what city is your Ho jeok? Will they release it to a third party? |

It is possible, as long as they have a letter (written in Korean and stamped with a traditional signature stamp) that gives the third party permission to receive a copy of your Family Registry..
The worst case scenerio would be that the person can declare themselves a relative to attain a copy... |

it seems like you're a kyopo getting an english teaching job through a recruiter? and using an F4 instead of an E2?
you don't need your ho juk to enter korea- how about going to the district office after coming to korea? immigration can process the application within a week and you don't have to leave the country. also, the visa is good from the day you turn in your application. |
