Something I dont understand. Korean women will stay trim, spend a fortune on cosmetics and hair, wear nice clothes and have expensive accessories. But it seems that so many have mustaches. Have you noticed this? When a chick has a mustache, all her efforts to be attractive are for naught. Dont they know about nair, waxing, or bleaching? Or are Korean guys into women who look like Magnum PI?

The reason for that is because it's going to get thicker and thicker if you get rid of it. I don't know if this is really true or not, though.

True if you shave it off. Waxing, nairing, or lasering would be fine without thicker regrowth.

That doesn't make any sense. Shaving isn't going to make it grow back any thicker. Your hair follicles aren't going to multiply just because you put a razor to your face. Shaving would just grow back faster than other removal methods.

When i say thicker i mean coarser, not more hairs per sqaure inch.

Well, that still doesn't make sense, logistically. Why would shaving make it courser?

The hair might be more noticeable, because it's all stubbly and because it hasn't been exposed to the elements, if you will. It's like arm hair. Most people's arm hair is relatively fine. That's because it's been there since forever. But if you shave it, it's going to LOOK coarser when it starts growing back. Not because it actually is, but because all of the hairs are growing back at the same time and at the exact same length. Literal coarsness of the hair won't change.

Okay, I've written far too much about hair growth. Gotta lay down for a while.

This myth has been debunked about a dozen times over. Korean women aren't too into body hair removal, it seems, at least in certain places. Embarassed

I had to meet a Korean woman recently (work-related meeting). She had arms hairier than many Korean guys, the mustache thing going, and was totally flat chested !

Shudder . . . Shocked

Christ, you make fun of Koreans for believing in the miracle powers of kimchi, and then you come along with these stupid, backwards theories about shaving making hair become coarser.

I am talking about asthetics here. Of course hair follicles dont increase in numbe or size after shaving. The hair just appears darker and thicker. And thats a problem in itself. Even your link confirmed this.

Asked my GF and she said that pretty much all Korean women believe that it will grow back thicker and more coarse.
Whether it's true or not, they apparently believe it.

Reminds me of a few Kgirls I've met with very hairy arms. I mean ridiculously hairy! Hard to believe that they would do nothing about it.

Hair is tapered (the first growth anyway). When you shave, the entire hair shaft grows back at the same thickness throughout. That is why people think that shaving increases hair growth.

I mentioned in another thread about my shock in kissing a girl who clearly shaved her upper lip, well *update* she doesn't shave her legs! Figure that one out.
