| Airline tickets are similar - HK is about W50-60,000 more expensive. Apart from that, I'm clueless. Which would you prefer for a 4-6-day holiday and why? What are the comparative prices of the two? How are they in Jan. / Feb.? |

I love Taiwan, but I think Hong Kong would be a more worthwhile trip for you. HK is just something that needs to be experienced, so take advantage of it while you're in Asia. Dig up some old threads about it . . . there's plenty of greenery, temples, tourism, and shopping, and everything is pretty well-connected by train/subway. The skyline is absolutely gorgeous, and each night there is a sound/light show at the harbor. This site has more information: http://wikitravel.org/en/Hong_Kong (If you decide on Taiwan, the site has some good stuff about Taiwan and Taipei).
Prices seemed comparable to Taipei and Taiwan. The only big difference I noticed was with hotels. I booked mine in advance, and it was twice what I'd want to pay for a room in Korea. Others will have cheaper recommendations, I'm sure. |

Definetely Hong Kong.. its a world class city.
I like Taiwan too.. but Taipei isn't in the same league as Hong Kong as a city. |
