Please suggest movies for English Camp. I think short films would also be good. Whatever. I'm looking for films for middle school but other people might like to know what is good for the other ages.

Animated movies: The Ant Bully; Cars
Comedy: "Ernest" movies (e.g. "Ernest Scared Silly")
Disney Movies; e.g., "Pirates: Dead Mans Chest"
"Accepted" - comedy
How about some of the Harry Potter movies?

There are hundreds of movies. Just pick ones that are age appropriate and have potential to build a lesson from. You could use one film and break it into sections (watch, stop the movie, discuss what is happening, vocabulary, etc. Ask what they think will happen next). Make it fun and educational; not just something to kill time with. You could also use role-playing techniques.

For what it is worth, I have a whole unit for the movie BIG, on my site. Dowload after clicking SETI button on my site. Also, the answer key.

It might be too high or involved but you could work with many of the activities.

I just watched the newish movie, "millions" about kids who find a pile of cash in a bag. Great movie.

So many others, animation -- Cat in the Hat and also Barnyard, are too with a lot of simple, good dialogue.

Also try the animations at www.nfb.ca George and Rosemary and the Cat Came back are two that work with kids. I love The Big Snit, my all time fav.

Other movies not really known but with books that work wonders with students are The Mighty Freak and Holes.

Others off the top of my head: The Princess Bride, Stand by Me, ET .

Just because my parents let me watch Cheech and Chong movies when I was a kid doesn't mean it will fly at my school. Although, I believe watching Cheech and Chong movies probably kept me away from pot.

Borat - middle school? I thought it would be far too offensive! I'm even concerned about showing it to teachers!
