I'm about to lose my room at the hostel and need to find someplace where I can get online regularly. Is there anywhere you can walk in and use the Internet for free, like you can in public libraries in the U.S., for example ?

I'm pretty sure the tourist place in Insadong has a few computers. I've also seen them in various restaurants, and at some banks. Just keep your eye out. Korea is wired up to the max.

You do realize that most PC rooms charge a mere 1,000 won an hour though right?

Yes, and that's beyond my budget.

I hadn't thought of the tourist offices, thanks!

Didn't mean that to come across so harshly...

Anyways.. Universities have tons of free internet kiosks set up.

Is there a web site that lists public libraries in Seoul? I couldn't find anything on Google.

Post offices have free internet.

Libraries have free internet.

In Incheon airport there is a free internet lounge up where the airline lounges are that always seems to be empty. I think the sign on the ground floor says "Transit lounge for international passengers and Airline Lounges" or something (there's a pay one near the Subway and Burger King which is always busy.. weird..)

Some tourist offices are free.

If you wander into a University and ask someone they'll point you to a free computer room (and yes, you ARE a student if they ask).

Hopefully one of those things is in your neighbourhood.
