So, does anyone know if the Burning Crusade xpac will be available here, maybe on a base at least? The US/Aussie version I mean.

You...can. But, you'll be playing at the exact opposite time of day, with a slightly high ping.

Sadly, the Oceanic servers are not really an option. Why? They suck horribly. The playerbase is really immature, and barely any of the guilds are even high enough to do raid content. Not only that, but for the past 2 months, blizzard really screwed PVE content by making the epic pvp items extremely easy to get, so it took me 3 months just to get my hunter to 60 from 53 (no one was grouping for instances, only running battlegrounds).

Eh I'm pingin around 350 or so on WoW...easily playable.

Yeah time difference is a problem.

CoH and WoW are totally different animals. Both good in their own way, but i can only take CoH in tiny doses heh.

Yeah, I haven't had too many problems with lag on WoW. Also, I'm glad I play at off peak times, as all the servers on which I have characters have got so full that even when I play there's too much competition for resources. Farming just about anything is a nightmare.

I haven't tried the Oceanic servers... but immaturity is usually pretty easy to ignore. quit the general and trade channels, and ignore people sending you stupid messages or opening trade windows.

I wish I knew about Burning Crusade.... unless I hear of any viable options here, I'll probably have an American friend buy it and ship it to me.

I just went to the birthday party of a friend of mine who was saying he needs to meet more people in Korea who play WoW. He's on a west coast server. I can't remember the name but I'd know it if I see it.

Oh, don't worry about that; the cd copy should be up on the pirate's bay within hours.

I play on a US server, and although my ping is around 350-400, the actual lag I experience is less than my friend in the US with less than 100...when I was home, I took my toons out on his computer, and the lag was horrible, even with a green bar -- mine is always yellow or red here, but I have no real problems...have not done many 40-man raids, though, so it might make a difference there....

Yeah, I am doing the whole "friend buys the CD then DHL's it to me."

You need a Korean credit card to play City of Heroes, which may be problematic unless you're married or have a girlfriend.

I play on a US server and have little or no lag problems...but before I added RAM to my computer I had some problems...

On a different topic...I am thinking getting rid of my account. Anyone know the ins and outs of trying to sell off an account.

My wife and I have 4 different 60's with average gear...but my wife has around 7000g on two different servers.

If you know anyone who would want to buy an account...and is actually willing to pay money for 'virtual gold, gear and characters'...have them send me a pm.

spent a lot of time addicted to the game...my wife as well...and if we don't stop playing the children are going to suffer....lol

I play on the Bronzebeard server (US Pacific) and my lag bar is usually yellow in color, ping of about 400.

As for The Burning Crusade, I don't trust my chances of getting an english copy here. I have had my mother pre-order at home and she will be mailing it to me the day it hits the stores.

You can buy directly from Blizzard but they say that international shipping can take from 4-6 weeks. Unacceptable, lol.

The PC rooms here will have The Burning Crusade and I will be looking on release day for the nearest room that has it. It is possible to play on US servers using a Korean copy of WoW, but you have to find and edit the realmlist.wtf file using notepad (usually this is enough), and possibly having to edit some MPQ data files. Remember to reverse the changes when you log out.

Really? I had played both in the States- seemes they would be more than happy to reactivate my account- with a minimum of an email or phone call.
